Baladi's story begins in 1916, when Miryam and Shlomo Dahabani opened a butcher shop in Tel Aviv. This is our timeline — from that butcher shop to today.

The founders
Miryam and Shlomo Dahabani
- 1916 — The move to Tel Aviv: Miryam and Shlomo Dahabani move from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv — and begin a new chapter in the family story.
- 1916 — The first butcher shop: They build their home, and beneath it open the family's first butcher shop.
- 1950 — The second generation: Aharon joins Shlomo at the butcher shop. The second generation enters the family business.
- 1965 — The first factory: Aharon founds Baladi's first factory, producing kebabs and burgers — and the business grows beyond the butcher shop.
- 1981 — The third generation: Erez and Yoram join Aharon in running the butcher shop and the factory. The third generation carries the story forward.
- 1987 — Bat Yam: Operations expand to Bat Yam: a larger factory, with a factory store beside it.
- 2007 — Afula · Be'er Tuvia: Production moves to Afula, and the logistics center to the Be'er Tuvia industrial zone — another step in Baladi's growth.
- 2023 — Timorim: Baladi moves into its new logistics center in Timorim — building the infrastructure for continued growth.
- 2024 — The stock exchange: Baladi issues bonds on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
- 2025 — The stock exchange: A year later, Baladi also lists its shares on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
- 2026 — Grass-Fed: Baladi begins marketing organic grass-fed beef in Israel.

Trade & import
We work directly with growers, producers and suppliers in 38 countries, importing a wide range of food products — from meat and fish to vegetables, fruit and dry goods — with a strict focus on quality, consistency and availability.
02 · Factory
Food manufacturing
Baladi's factory produces a range of beef, chicken and lamb products. Production processes and quality control accompany every product — from raw material to packaging.
03 · Logistics
Advanced logistics
The Timorim Logistics Center: 15,000 sqm, smart robotics, computerized inventory management and an unbroken cold chain. We provide third-party logistics (3PL) — from the port to the customer's door.
04 · Table
And from there — to your table.
